Repayment calculator
Set the price, the deposit and the term, and see what the repayment looks like. It calculates in your browser, so nothing you type is sent anywhere.
What would the repayments be?
Move the numbers around and see what changes. Nothing here is sent to me, and none of it is an offer of finance.
Indicative repayment
$0 per week
At an indicative 0% per year. Depending on your credit file and the asset, the rate could sit anywhere between 0% and 0%, which would make the payment $0 to $0.
- Amount financed
- $0
- Number of payments
- 0
- Total interest
- $0
Includes an indicative $395 establishment fee. This is a guide only, not an offer of finance, and it does not take your circumstances into account. Lending criteria, terms and fees apply.
How to read these numbers
The calculator uses an indicative rate of 12.95% a year, and shows the range between 8.95% and 19.95% underneath it, because that is roughly the spread I see across lenders. Where you land in that spread depends on your credit file, the age of the asset, the size of your deposit and the term you choose.
It also adds an indicative $395 establishment fee to the amount financed, because most lenders charge one and leaving it out would flatter the figure.
Three things worth knowing
- A longer term lowers the payment and raises the total. Compare the total interest line, not just the weekly figure. On a seven year term it is often thousands more than on a five.
- A deposit does two things. It lowers the payment, and it makes the application easier to place, because the lender is risking less than the asset is worth.
- This is not an offer of finance. It cannot be. Nobody has assessed your circumstances, which is exactly what a real quote requires.
